Meet & Greet Service

Your Surf Guide or the Dive Instructor will be at your humble service upon arrival to Maldives to get you on board. You will be picked up from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport on your arrival day and dropped off to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport on your day of departure to catch your international flight.

Direct to the boat upon arrival (per night is calculated from the time of guest arrival x 24 hours)

The time of check-in at the last day

Number of dives

Excluding the first and last day of the safari, we do offer average 3 dives per day. This includes one night diving per week.

Note: This is subject to the weather & sea conditions

PADI Courses: We need to be informed one week in advance if a course is requested. We may be unable to provide the course if not given a week’s prior notice. The following are provided:

  • Advanced
  • Nitrox

Renting Equipment
Equipment will be provided upon a week prior request from the date of arrival.

Nitrox on board

The brand new compressor assures optimal diving with nitrox or normal air. With the new compressor facility (two 320 L & W compressors and Nitrox Membrane NuvAir) you can now enjoy up to 36% Nitrox per dive.

We will provide:

  • Nitrox is available at extra cost (we encourage you to dive with it as it is safer and allows us to maximize the bottom time to see more and for longer)
  • Compressors and diving equipment are stored in the Dhoni, meaning that there is no noise pollution for guests while bottles are re-filled between dives.

You have to bring:

  • Mask
  • Fins
  • Snorkel
  • BCD
  • Regulator with octopus
  • Wetsuit
  • Reef hook
  • Diving computer
  • Surface marker buoy
  • Torch (for night diving)

Note: Diving equipment is not included, except tanks, weight belts & lead. Lead is not easy to find in Maldives and is quite expensive. Therefore, we do charge our guests the “cost price” when they lose weights (around US$10.00 per kg)

We strongly recommend divers to be Advanced Open Water or OWD with at least 30 dives, as we do channel dives where we often encounter strong currents.

Note: The first dive is always a so-called Check-Dive, which is compulsory for all divers. Dives are guided by an experienced PADI instructor and a Dive master. Experienced divers can dive independently after the check dive.

Diving insurance is not included on board and it is strongly recommended that you have it.

Our philosophy is not to play the police but we are strict on safety rules. Therefore, any divers who do not respect these rules could be banned from diving for the rest of the safari.

Rules in Maldives

  • No-decompression dive.
  • Each diver must have a CPU and a SMB.
  • Maximum depth is 30 meters.
  • No solo diving.
  • No diving 24hrs before flying.
  • Do not dive under alcoholic influence.
  • Do not harm the underwater life.

Restricted Areas

Since 2014, Hanifaru Bay is a protected area and access is only granted for snorkeling with a fee of US$40.00 per diver per day basis.

Number of surfers

A minimum of 10 surfers is required and a maximum of 22 can be accommodated

Number of Surfs

Excluding the arrival and departure day, a maximum of 3 surfs are done during the day time. The first surf will be considered as a test to check the standard and how qualified you are.

You can choose any route you like but fuel surcharge will apply accordingly. Routes are strongly subject to change according to the weather and tidal wave conditions.

Required Surf Approval

Surfers should know the surfing, recommended to bring documents if you have.

Surfing Insurance

Surfing insurance is not included on board and it is strongly recommended that you have it.

Surf boards are not provided on board, hence it should be brought by the surfers.

Note: There are few surfing spots shielded. The ingress permission will be required from the relevant authorities. For these surfing spots a fee will be charged on per hour/per surf basis.
